Coulomb Technologies the leader in electric vehicle charging systems and application services, today announced that the ChargePoint® Network has reached a significant milestone in the state of Washington with the 100th charging station installation on the ChargePoint Network. With more and more electric vehicles in Washington including the Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt and Tesla Roadster, Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network continues to expand, bringing EV charging to the cities of Bellingham, Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Redmond and Olympia. Sales and installation of the ChargePoint stations is provided by Coulomb’s northwest distributor Charge Northwest.


Coulomb Technologies received the top industry ranking today as the industry’s top electric vehicle supply equipment by Pike Research. Coulomb attained the highest overall score in the report due to the company’s ‘successful technology partnerships, global sales network, and extensive product portfolio.’ Coulomb is rated highest in both the “Strategy and Execution” dimensions. Coulomb Technologies today announced that the executive mansion in Springfield, Ill. has installed a residential ChargePoint® charging station for electric vehicles. The installation of the ChargePoint station marks the first time a Governor of any state in the US has installed a networked residential charging station for electric vehicles. The State of Illinois will use the charging station to fuel new electric vehicles and will be used by government staff. Installation of the charging station further extends the Governor’s executive order EO11 2009 that addresses a healthier environment for the state of Illinois. The ChargePoint charging station was donated and installed by Carbon Day Automotive and WindFree in Chicago.




As part of its growing commitment to sustainability, the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) today announced it has joined the ChargePoint® Network, providing electric vehicle driver services for its students and employees. UMKC has installed its first ChargePoint networked charging station for EVs at its Kansas City, Mo. campus. The ChargePoint station will service electric vehicles on campus as part of a U.S. DOE grant managed by the Metropolitan Energy Center’s Kansas City Regional Clean Cities Coalition. Sale of the ChargePoint charging station was completed by LilyPad EV via Coulomb’s Midwest/Chicago distributor Carbon Day Automotive.
