Electric vehicle (EV) drivers can now travel the most heavily-trafficked corridors on the East and West Coasts of the United States with the installation of 95 new DC Fast charging stations as part of the Express Charging Corridors Initiative – a collaboration of two of the world's top automakers, BMW of North America and Volkswagen of America, Inc. and ChargePoint, the world's largest EV charging network. The recently completed express charging corridors are designed to meet the increasing demand for convenient, publicly-available EV fast chargers and act as a catalyst for the growing adoption of electric vehicles in the United States.

ChargePoint, the world's largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network, today announced the addition of Colleen Jansen to its leadership team. As the company's Chief Marketing Officer, Jansen will oversee the company's marketing efforts to EV charging station owners, drivers and industry partners across a number of verticals, including workplace, commercial real estate, utilities and residences.

Granholm, who served two terms as governor of Michigan, is a law professor and clean energy advocate who brings deep industry and policy expertise to the ChargePoint board.

ChargePoint, the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network made two significant announcements that put it in a strong position to continue driving EVs into the mainstream. It has secured an additional $50 million in a funding round led by Linse Capital, with participation from insiders including Braemar Energy Ventures and Constellation Energy. ChargePoint has now raised over $164 million from leading investors including Rho Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, BMW iVentures and Siemens. Alongside the new funding, ChargePoint also announced an evolution of its board.
At the 2016 ACT Expo ChargePoint, the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network, unveiled the new CPF25 charging station and upgrades to its Fleet Plan. ChargePoint fleet products and services are designed to cater to the specific needs of commercial fleet operators. This week, the California Energy Commission (CEC) proposed to award nearly $4 million to ChargePoint to complete the West Coast Electric Highway, which connects British Columbia to Baja California with fast charging stations for electric vehicles (EV). The CEC awarded a total of $8.8 million in grants to complete California's portion of the Highway.

ChargePoint today applauded the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for its unanimous vote to authorize San Diego Gas & Electric to develop a pilot program to deploy 3,500 electric vehicle charging stations in the San Diego area. This comes on the heels of a separate CPUC decision two weeks ago to approve a ground-breaking proposal from Southern California Edison to deploy 1,500 charging stations across its territory.
