ChargePoint and the City of Sacramento today announced that the City has reached a significant milestone with more than 100 electric vehicle charging stations installed in and around the California State Capitol. Many of the 100 installed EV charging stations were made possible by a State and Federal grant funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Transportation Electrification Initiative administered by the Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission. This project has served to accelerate the development and production of electric vehicles to substantially reduce petroleum consumption, reduce greenhouse gas production, and create jobs. There are more than 500 electric vehicles registered in Sacramento including the Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt, Prius Plug-in and Ford Focus Electric. Public electric vehicle charging infrastructure has made it possible for Sacramento to migrate to a cleaner form of transportation.

ChargePoint, Inc. announced the first of more than 80 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations it will install around New York, through a $1 million incentive from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The EV charging station installed at The Solaire in Battery Park City is ChargePoint’s first installation of what will be part of a significant NYSERDA EV charging station investment. The Solaire, developed in 2003 by the Albanese Organization is the nation’s first LEED Gold-certified residential building. ChargePoint is the largest network of EV charging stations in the world, with more than 11,000 charging spots installed.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has laid out a bold plan to make up to 20 percent of new New York City parking spaces electric vehicle (EV) ready. ChargePoint congratulates Mayor Bloomberg for his vision.
ChargePoint, the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network, today announced its entry into the Atlanta market with the installation of networked EV charging stations. Lanier Parking Solutions, headquartered in Atlanta, facilitated the placement of six ChargePoint EV charging stations at locations in Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead, with the location of a seventh charger to be determined.

Shelter Creek Condominiums, San Mateo County's largest MDU (Multi-dwelling Unit) community located in San Bruno, will unveil ChargePoint EV charging stations to its residents at a grand opening event on Saturday, January 19th, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Shelter Creek parking lot A. The ChargePoint stations are installed in four locations throughout the 45-acre property and available for use by residents and their guests. Shelter Creek, a Manor Association Property, has more than 4,000 residents in the San Bruno location. Shelter Creek has partnered with Serramonte Nissan and Putnam Chevrolet to offer Friends and Family discounts for sales and leases of new electric vehicles to attendees of the grand opening event. San Bruno City Manager, Connie Jackson, will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting.
Electric vehicle charging station leaders ChargePoint and DBT USA today announced plans to significantly expand the networked EV charging station landscape in North America. Through a partnership, DBT USA’s new North American portfolio of Level II EV charging stations now have the option to connect to ChargePoint, the world’s largest global EV charging network. Through ChargePoint, DBT USA can now provide station owners and EV drivers advanced features including the ability to help with trip planning, manage the cost of charging, and find and operate public stations.

ChargePoint has been named as the leading electric vehicle charging station manufacturer by Pike Research. ChargePoint achieved the highest worldwide ranking for feature-rich EVSE offerings, market share, geographic reach and vision. ChargePoint maintained its leadership spot with strong strategy and execution scores and as a result continued to secure significant market share, according to the report. ChargePoint’s EV charging stations and cloud-based software solutions will be on display January 8-11, 2013 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas inside the GoElectricDrive Tech Zone, booth #2826 (LVCC North Hall).

ChargePoint the world’s largest network of independently owned EV charging stations and DBT USA, the Chicago-based subsidiary of European EV charging infrastructure leader DBT will showcase a joint EV charging station innovation at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show. With more than 10,000 charging stations installed in 32 countries and three continents across the globe, DBT will make a major step in the US EV charging station market with a new product to be announced during CES. The companies will showcase the joint solution on January 8-11, 2013 inside the GoElectricDrive Tech Zone, booth #2826 (LVCC North Hall) and DBT USA booth #2931 (LVCC, North Hall).

ChargePoint today announced their electric vehicle charging station network has reached several major milestones. ChargePoint has more than 10,000 EV charging station spots in North America. More than 25,000, nearly half of all EV drivers, use ChargePoint to charge their electric vehicles. ChargePoint has seen more than 1,500,000 EV charging sessions over the past four years. All statistics are available in real-time, dynamically-generated from the ChargePoint network located on the Company homepage at www.chargepoint.com. Additionally, the Company has officially changed its name to ChargePoint, Inc. from Coulomb Technologies, Inc.

ChargePoint today introduced its newest electric vehicle charging station mobile application for all iPhone and Android smart phones. With a new user experience and redesigned look, the ChargePoint EV charging station app now features all EV charging stations installed in the United States, not just those on the ChargePoint network. Additionally, EV drivers can now easily identify which stations have pricing and exactly how far they are from their location. Available for free, the updated ChargePoint EV charging station app also provides EV drivers direct access to their social network accounts including Facebook and Twitter.
