ChargePoint is committed to providing the most convenient charging experience and now, electric vehicle (EV) drivers can sign up and pay for charging with PayPal. PayPal has long supported EVs and has installed 34 ChargePoint ports at their San Jose, California, campus for employees and visitors. By enabling people to pay for a charge using PayPal, we’re giving our customers a faster and easier way to pay.



ChargePoint welcomes Ajay Agrawal as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Ajay will oversee ChargePoint’s product management and engineering for it’s entire product line including its cloud-based services, charging hardware and mobile applications.


ChargePoint – the largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network – commends Governor Brown for signing AB2565, which will allow commercial and residential tenants to install an EV charging station in a leased parking lot if the tenant is willing to pay for the cost of the station and installation. ChargePoint worked with the bill’s author, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, in drafting and driving AB2565 through the legislative process.





Drivers asked and we listened. We’ve redesigned the ChargePoint app from the ground up with tons of new features and ways to personalize and enhance your ChargePoint experience. The all-new interface is optimized for quick access to the things you need most. Now, drivers can use one app to easily find stations and start charging. The Android version is available today in Google Play and will be on iPhone at the end of the month.


At today’s Plug-In 2014 Conference, ChargePoint announced that the BMW i DC Fast Charger and Efacec station models, will be the first SAE Combo chargers on the ChargePoint network. Currently ChargePoint has nearly 100 DC fast chargers on their open network of over 18,000 charging locations.


ChargePoint – the largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network,announced today a new investor: Constellation Technology Ventures,the venture capital arm of ExelonCorporation. Constellation has joined existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB),Braemar Energy Ventures, Siemens Venture CapitalGmbH, Voyager Capital, BMW and Rho Ventures. In total, ChargePointhas raised nearly $114 million.
