Siemens Energy, Inc. and Coulomb Technologies, Inc. today announced a joint marketing agreement for an integrated electric vehicle product offering in the fast-moving market for e-mobility and state-of-the-art electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) technology, including electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This agreement will allow Siemens to offer companies, including utilities, electric retailers, municipalities and EV suppliers, the ability to monitor, bill and clear financial transactions for EV infrastructure market participants.

Coulomb Technologies today announced that its ChargePoint® CT2100 charging station has been certified to Underwriters Laboratories’ new requirements UL Subject 2594. UL Subject 2594 is the safety requirement covering Electric Vehicle (EV) supply equipment, and Coulomb’s ChargePoint CT2100 product family is one of the first charging stations to be evaluated to this standard. In addition, the CT2100 is certified to UL 1998, UL 991, UL 2231-1 and UL 2231-2 standards. The CT2100 family of charging stations supports both Level II 208/240V, 30A charging (via the SAE J1772™ connector) and Level I 120V, 16A charging via a standard NEMA 5-20 outlet thereby offering the ability to charge almost any EV. UL evaluates representative products, components, materials and systems for compliance to specific requirements, and authorizes manufacturers of compliant products to display the UL Mark on those products.

Coulomb Technologies today announced support for the unveiling of Electrification legislation in Washington DC. Republicans and Democrats in both the House and Senate announced bills that address the issues and challenges set forth by the Electrification Coalition in November, 2009. These issues include the high cost of batteries, the absence of a network of chargers, both private (home) and public (shared), the lack of utility readiness, in terms of both IT and physical infrastructure and consumer psychology issues regarding a new technology.

Coulomb Technologies’ EMEA partner 365 Energy today announced that Zohar Energy has been chosen by Polish energy company POLENERGIA to support its expansion as a leading provider of infrastructure solutions for electric vehicles (EVs) in Poland. The first ChargePoint® Networked Charging Station was installed in Warsaw earlier this month. The ChargePoint stations are manufactured by US-based Coulomb Technologies.

Coulomb Technologies, a leader in electric vehicle charging station infrastructure, today announced that Tucson Rental Homes in Tucson, AZ has installed their first ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles (EV). Installed at the newly developed Tanque Verde Valley rental-housing complex located at 9855 E. Speedway, the charging station is free for residents. The Tucson Rental Homes installation is the third local Tucson location for Coulomb’s charging stations with the first two located at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange stores. The charging stations were sold through Verdek-EV, Coulomb's exclusive south central distributor. Coulomb and Verdek worked closely with Tucson’s Pima Association of Governments and Clean Cities to assist with the installation.
