Commercial customers may take advantage of Alabama Power's Make Ready Program, allowing for costs associated with Level 2 or Direct Current (DC) Fast Charger installation to be rebated. If installing Level 2 charging with a minimum of four (4) ports, customers may receive up to $2,000 per port. For DC installations, customers may receive up to $20,000, dependent on the power output of the charger. Typical costs covered include underground electrical work, panel upgrades, site improvements needed for charging, and more. Applications will be accepted until funding has been exhausted.
