The City of Montreal has funding for companies and private institutions located in the Montréal agglomeration to install EV charging stations for the use of their staff, customers and the public. Subsidies covers 50% of the cost of the project and must be less than $100,000. Maximum amounts are $5,000 per port for a Level 2 charging station and between $15,000 to $75,000 per DCFC station depending on the kW output (20kW to 100kW+). Application deadline is July 31, 2025. The project must be completed no later than September 30, 2025. The subsidy will be paid once the project is completed and found to comply with the applicable technical requirements as well as the regulations. Applicants can submit several applications for different street addresses. Eligible expenses include EV equipment, design, installation and commissioning of the equipment as well as licensing and permit fees.
