EV drivers know that fast charging isn't an everyday thing (it's a "sometime" charge). But when you need it, you really need it.
We want EV drivers to count on us for a fast charge when they need one, whether it's on a long road trip, after an unexpected errand or just while getting from place to place on a busy day. So we've established roaming agreements with other charging networks, taught drivers why 80% is the magic number for fast charging and delivered an innovative fast charger that can deliver up to 125 kW while providing a convenient charge.
ChargePoint Express 250 was designed for a great fast charging experience, top to bottom. Let's take a look at how it does that.
We'll start at the top with the "swing arms" that swing out from the station to help reach cars in any parking configuration, while keeping the cables safely off the ground.
Under the swing arms is the LED status light, which shows whether the station is Available (green) or In Use (blue). This lets you see what stations to approach at a glance, and the color coding matches the station pins in our app, too.
Lest you think that beautiful screen is just another touchscreen, think again. You don't have to touch it at all! It's a gesture sensor so it works even if it's iced over or if you're wearing gloves. Check it out, then see how our engineering team made the screen smarter with machine learning.
Just like with any Level 2 charging station, you can simply tap your phone on the station to start a charge.
In addition to these cool features, two ChargePoint Express 250s can be installed side by side to deliver 125 kW. Pretty cool!
