At ChargePoint, we may not quite go to the lengths of the Mythbusters team (like letting crash test dummies fall on us). Still, we do take the time to test out our new products and features with employees. Many of us drive electric, and we have fun trying everything ourselves before releasing our products into the world.
Our latest internal test with all-hands-on-deck participation, pictured above, helps ensure the durability of the charging holsters on our ChargePoint Express 250 DC fast stations. We want to make sure it's as smooth and easy as possible to get the station's charging connectors in and out of the holsters, and the materials hold up well, even after many years of use. To test this, we set up a station in one of our kitchens (a high traffic area!) with a digital counter attached and asked employees to pitch in by removing the connectors and putting them back a few times. The goal is 40,000 reps per connector, so all ChargePointer hands are in on the fun.
