The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is offering $100M for non-MTA transit authorities, counties, municipalities, and other entities eligible to receive NY Statewide Mass Transportation Operating Assistance to deploy electric transit buses and purchase and install electric transit bus charging infrastructure through its Zero-Emission Transit Transition (ZETT) Program. NYSDOT will provide reimbursement of up to 90% of eligible project costs, up to $5-17.5M per applicant, depending on applicant type. Applications will be competitively evaluated and are due April 4, 2025.
