Efficiency Maine released funding for four (4) Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Level 2 EV chargers in various locations with federal Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) Discretionary Grant Program monies. Maine has a budget of $4,732,000 for this initiative. Funding is up to 80% of total eligible project costs up to $10,000 per Level 2 port. Applications are first-come, first-served through December 13, 2024, or until funding is exhausted. The program funds installation in rural areas where EV drivers go for goods and services and employment opportunities.
