The CA Air Resources Board (CARB) and CA Energy Commission (CEC) are offering $500M for public school districts, public charter schools, JPAs, and COEs in CA to deploy electric school buses and to purchase and install Level 2 and DC fast chargers through the Zero Emission School Bus & Infrastructure (ZESBI) Program. CARB and CEC will provide reimbursement of up to $20,000 per Level 2 charger and up to $75,000 per DC charger, up to 100% of eligible costs. Applications will accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with applicants sorted into prioritization tiers, between May 14, 2024 and September 30, 2024.
