GP JOULE CONNECT chooses has·to·be gmbh for its EV charging projects
Building charging infrastructure at Pioneer Park Hanau in Germany is the biggest ongoing collaboration.
Historical release from the former has.to.be
Radstadt 10th May 2021. The Pioneer Park Hanau is a groundbreaking project for innovative and climate-friendly living. On around 50 hectares of former military land, around 1600 residential and commercial units are under construction. And not only will all of them have innovative heating via a combination of different sources and storage methods, but they’ll have access to a mobility concept that’s never been seen before. GP JOULE CONNECT is installing a property-wide charging infrastructure, along with a broad range of sharing services for residents and guests – all conveniently accessible via a dedicated app. The eMobility stations will be available for public, commercial and private use. And for their day-to-day operation and billing, has·to·be’s be.ENERGISED software is the chosen solution.
- 25% of all parking spots will be electrified, meaning 700 charge points for eCars.
- Up to 12 eMobility stations and over 200 eVehicles.
- Operation and billing via be.ENERGISED.
- Third-party access to be handled by has·to·be’s COMMUNITY EV charging service.
The Pioneer Park Hanau is among the largest EV charging hubs, and perhaps the best-known of them all. For both partners involved in its implementation, this is a multi-year collaboration. Up to 12 eMobility stations, some of which have already been built, follow an intermodal approach that sees over 200 eVehicles (eCars, eBikes and electric cargo bikes) available under rental, lease and for-sale concepts. All of this will be easily accessible via the E-Sharing by GP JOULE app.
eMobility stations at Pioneer Park Hanau to run on be.ENERGISED EV charging software
To ensure smooth operation of the charging infrastructure, as well as the associated billing processes, be.ENERGISED and its added COMMUNITY functionality will come into play. The latter allows the charge points to be opened up to the public, as well as to ensure visibility on relevant software platforms. With the first two eMobility stations already in operation, the team is actively working to roll out the next. This will be up and running in early July, with eight DC and two AC chargers, each with a selection of appropriate cars and two charge points respectively. Access to the charging infrastructure will be via the E-Charging by GP JOULE app – delivered by has·to·be gmbh.
“has·to·be gmbh has been a valuable partner in bringing EV charging projects to life for several years already, and the Pioneer Park Hanau cluster is no exception,”
reflects GP JOULE CONNECT Director Manuel Reich.

“We’ve been able to support the GP JOULE CONNECT team in implementing its EV charging projects successfully for several years already,” says has·to·be gmbh CSO Tobias Scharfen. “Again and again, we’re seeing be.ENERGISED used as the basis for standout projects such as Pioneer Park Hanau. As always, we’re committed to our role as a reliable partner and wish the team every success as the next eMobility station goes live at Pioneer Park.”
