Coulomb Technologies Announces Availability of New iPhone ChargePoint App for European Electric Vehicle Market
Available in 42 European Countries; New ChargePoint Smart Phone App for iPhone: Provides Drivers Advanced Search and Real-Time Availability Features
Campbell, Calif., September 1, 2011 – Coulomb Technologies today announced the availability of its iPhone ChargePoint® App for the European electric vehicle marketplace. Now available for free in the iPhone app stores, the ChargePoint® App is the only app available that gives EV drivers real-time charging station status. This is important because driver can be assured they will always find unoccupied stations from wherever they are, and keeps them fully informed every step along the way. The new version, available in 42 European countries, allows drivers to search and filter for charging stations by status: available, in use and voltage level. The ChargePoint app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later.
Users can receive charging session information including: real-time charging status notifications, energy used, greenhouse gas savings and time usage. Additional features include the ability to:
- Find charging stations near you or near any specified address.
- Get turn-by-turn directions to charging stations.
- See the real-time availability of charging stations: Available or In Use. Start and Stop charging sessions directly from iPhone.
- Get directions from current location to where vehicle is charging.
- Get status on current or most recent charging session: energy used, greenhouse gas savings, time.
