ChargePoint Named #12 on CNBC’s Disruptor 50 List
Campbell, CA – ChargePoint, the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network with over 18,000 charging spots, today announced they have been named in CNBC’s second annual Disruptor 50 List.
The Disruptor 50 is an annual list of venture-backed private companies that are shaking up the landscape and threatening the status quo in their respective industries. From hundreds of companies nominated by venture capitalists, industry analysts, and beat reporters, CNBC has created the ultimate list of 50 innovators who are disrupting the marketplace and poised for hyper-growth.
“This is a great day for us at ChargePoint. We are constantly looking for new ways to get more people in the driver’s seat of an EV and our success has directly contributed to the industry’s growth. We’ve worked hard to accelerate adoption by providing a charging network over 18,000 charging spots that drivers can depend on, giving them confidence to make the switch to electric.” said Pasquale Romano, ChargePoint President and CEO. “ChargePoint’s focus is on the driver. We want whoever is sitting behind the wheel to have a seamless charging and driving experience, and with ChargePoint, you can plugin wherever you go.”
The entire list can be seen today at CNBC.com. Other companies on the list include SpaceX, Uber, Airbnb, Snapchat and Spotify.
Also this week, ChargePoint announced its inclusion in an annual guide for the world’s 100 leading sustainability innovations. The guide is put together by international think-tank Sustainia, which held an event to announce the guide Monday in Oslo, Norway. ChargePoint was selected for its state-of-the-art innovation in the EV industry.
