ChargePoint and Arval sign international framework agreement to accelerate the transition to electric mobility
Paris, France. 6 June 2023 - ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CHPT), a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network, and Arval, a leader in full-service vehicle leasing and new mobility solutions and a company of the BNP Paribas Group, today announced the signing of an international framework agreement aimed at accelerating the transition to e-mobility for international corporate clients, small and medium companies, and private individuals.
This agreement allows fleet, financial and environmental managers, as well as other stakeholders, to take full control of the management of their electric vehicles, integrate with advanced fleet management systems, and enables them to achieve a high degree of automation in the provision and payment of electric fueling as they move towards full electrification.
ChargePoint will bring its expertise and comprehensive portfolio of charging solutions and service to Arval clients in several countries and progressing across Arval’s geographies over time. This portfolio can be made directly available to all customers of Arval and the electrified vehicles Arval leases, offering a wide range of services and support. The comprehensive electric vehicle charging solution will include a seamless digital on-boarding experience, billing solution, installation and maintenance, 24/7 customer support and smart chargers, providing a scalable and reliable solution that can be implemented across multiple sites and countries.
Arval customers can now use some of the world’s most advanced workplace charging solutions, in addition to home charging with an automatic reimbursement solution for drivers and access the wider charging network of over 485,000 charging ports across Europe.
This agreement will further improve Arval’s established electric vehicle solutions by complementing and expanding its current offerings and charging partnerships throughout progressively more geographies, allowing its customers to better find, access and pay for charging in a straight-forward and reliable manner. ChargePoint will in turn be able to better service workplace customers who are rapidly electrifying their fleets by providing services and hardware wherever these vehicles charge.
